Advances in the integration of CAD-based inspection planning
The information days held by SAP and QM partners on September 24 and 25, 2025, offered in-depth insights. Our webinar focused on the advanced capabilities of CAD-based inspection planning and its integration into SAP.
With a focus on a smooth inspection planning process, we provided an overview of the integrative possibilities of CAD-based inspection planning with our EiPLAN solution in SAP. The highlight: 3D drawing balooning with ELIAS infra CONVERT. The end-to-end process, which is fully integrated into SAP, also enables the use of specification data from SAP (e.g., master inspection characteristics, inspection methods, PRTs, etc.). This not only makes the initial creation of inspection plans much easier, but also allows drawing revisions to be processed quickly and efficiently. Of course, the end-to-end process also works well with 2D drawings.
Special advantages of digital balooning and integration into SAP: considerable time savings in test planning and a significant reduction in transmission errors. In addition to the rapid generation of stamped drawings, the development specifications are also accurately mapped in SAP, creating an ideal basis for the standardization of test plans.
Integration options for additional tools with EiPLAN
Our presentation also introduced further integration options: In addition to ELIAS infra CONVERT, EiPLAN also integrates CERPRO‘s AI-based drawing stamping Quali Spec and BCT Technologies’ BCT Inspector into SAP. EiPLAN also enables the import of measuring machine logs from all common manufacturers for inspection planning in SAP.
